Luxurious Lexus LM Set to Arrive in Australian Showrooms
Ready to experience the epitome of luxury on wheels?
Lexus has confirmed that the highly anticipated LM people mover will soon be available in Australia. With its ultra-luxurious features and impressive performance, the 2024 Lexus LM is set to make waves in the automotive market. Let’s take a closer look at what this exceptional vehicle has to offer.
The 2024 Lexus LM will be offered in two different configurations. The first is a seven-seat layout, available with two- or all-wheel drive. The LM 350h Sports Luxury variant is priced at $160,888 for the two-wheel drive and $165,888 for the all-wheel drive version. This places it at a higher price point compared to the Mercedes-Benz V-Class flagship.
In addition to the seven-seat option, Lexus will also introduce a four-seat flagship model, the LM 500h Ultra Luxury. This model promises an extraordinary driving experience and will cost $220,888 before on-road costs. This makes it the most expensive Lexus currently available, surpassing the price of the LC 500 convertible and the LX 600 Ultra Luxury.
The LM 350h models are equipped with a 2.5-litre four-cylinder hybrid engine. This powertrain, which produces 184kW and 270Nm, is similar to the one used in the Toyota Kluger Hybrid. On the other hand, the flagship LM 500h boasts a 2.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid engine, generating over 200kW of power and featuring all-wheel drive. It is uncertain whether this powertrain is a modified version of the one found in the RX 500h F Sport Performance.
Both the LM 350h and LM 500h models offer exceptional comfort and convenience. The LM 350h features second-row captain’s chairs and a three-person third-row bench that can be easily folded away with the push of a button. The LM 500h takes luxury to the next level, providing two VIP throne seats in the second row. Additionally, this model includes a glass partition, a remarkable 48-inch widescreen for rear passengers, a premium 23-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, and even a built-in mini fridge.
Lexus enthusiasts and guests attending events surrounding the 2023 Melbourne Cup will be among the first to experience the LM. Chauffeured transportation between November 4 and 11 to and from the Flemington Racecourse will be provided. Lexus Australia CEO John Pappas acknowledged the overwhelming customer interest and emphasized the need to manage expectations due to limited initial supply.
Adding to the excitement, the LM is part of Lexus’ plan to launch three new vehicles in Australia by mid-2024. Alongside the LM, the sturdy GX off-roader is another highly anticipated release. As for the third vehicle, it has yet to be officially confirmed, but speculations suggest it could be the LBX small crossover based on the Toyota Yaris Cross platform.
