Unveiling the New Aston Martin Vantage: More Power, New Look, and Enhanced Equipment
Are you ready to experience the raw power and sophistication of the new Aston Martin Vantage?
The highly anticipated new Aston Martin Vantage has finally been unveiled, and it’s packing some serious upgrades. With a sleek new design, improved features, and a significant boost in power, this V8-powered coupe is set to impress.
The new Aston Martin Vantage is the successor to the 2018 model, but it has undergone major transformations both inside and out.
Overseas deliveries are set to start in the second quarter of 2024, although the exact arrival date in Australian showrooms is yet to be confirmed.
One of the most notable changes is the new vertical headlight design and wider grille, reminiscent of the larger Aston Martin DB12. The traditionally styled bonnet replaces the clamshell unit from the previous model, giving the Vantage a more classic look.
Under the hood, the Vantage has received a significant power boost. The twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine now produces a whopping 489kW of power and 800Nm of torque. Thanks to improvements in cam profiles, turbochargers, and cooling capacity, this represents a substantial increase compared to its predecessor.
The Vantage also benefits from a revised eight-speed automatic transmission that offers faster shift times and a shorter-ratio final drive. The 0-60mph (98km/h) sprint time remains unchanged at 3.4 seconds, but a new launch control system with driver-adjustable slip control provides improved control and adaptability.
In terms of weight and handling, the new Vantage maintains its 50:50 weight distribution and sheds 23kg from its dry weight. With an optional carbon-ceramic brake package, the total weight reduction is further enhanced by 27kg, resulting in improved ride quality and steering response.
Inside the cabin, the Vantage exudes luxury with Bridge of Weir leather upholstery, bright contrast stitching, and gloss black highlights. The updated dash now accommodates a larger 10.25-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay, along with a new steering wheel and shift-by-wire gear selector.
Standard equipment includes an impressive 390-watt, 11-speaker Bowers and Wilkins sound system, while an optional 1170-watt 15-speaker setup will be available in select markets.
Australian timing, pricing, and specifications for the Aston Martin Vantage will be reported by CarExpert as soon as the information becomes available.
