In China, the MHero 1 offers two powertrain options: a pure-electric variant with four electric motors and a tri-motor hybrid. However, for the European market, Dongfeng has decided to offer only the quad-motor fully electric version. With a whopping power output of 800kW and 1400Nm of torque, thanks to its 142.7kWh ternary lithium battery, the MHero 1 is ready to take on any challenge.
When it comes to range, the MHero 1 delivers an impressive 450km on the WLTP cycle. Additionally, its battery can charge from 30% to 80% in just 47 minutes using DC power. Despite its substantial weight of nearly 3300kg, Dongfeng claims that the MHero 1 can go from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.2 seconds. While it may not match the GMC Hummer EV in terms of acceleration, which reaches the same speed around 1 second quicker, it’s important to note that the American powerhouse is not available in Europe.
The MHero 1 embraces its adventurous nature with its ‘never back down’ inscription on the dashboard. Its aggressive and angular design, reminiscent of GWM’s Tank 400 and Tank 700, adds to its off-roading appeal. With ground clearance of up to 335mm and impressive approach, departure, and breakover angles of 37, 38, and 28 degrees respectively, the MHero 1 proves its capability to conquer rugged terrains.
