The Skoda Scala, the only European car on the list, claims a fuel economy of 5.3L/100km. The cheaper Ambition 85TSI variant is the most efficient, while the higher-end Signature 110TSI is slightly less efficient with a claimed fuel economy of 5.5L/100km.
The MG 5 is Australia’s cheapest sedan with a claimed fuel economy of 5.7L/100km. It comes in two variants, Vibe and Essence, with prices starting at $24,990 and $28,990, respectively.
The Mazda 3 has a claimed fuel economy of 5.8L/100km in its least powerful G20 guise. The G20 sedan is the most efficient variant, while the hatches have a slightly higher fuel economy of 5.9L/100km.
