Peugeot has revealed the eagerly awaited E-3008 SUV, which arrives with an impressive array of features. The vehicle’s standout design includes a sleek coupe SUV silhouette and a unique window behind the C-pillar, allowing for better visibility around blind spots. Inspired by the Quartz concept car, the E-3008 also sports a small ‘floating’ spoiler that seamlessly continues the sloped roofline.

One of Peugeot’s signature design elements, the ‘three-claw’ lighting, makes an appearance on the front and rear of the E-3008. The GT models boast pixel LED headlights and a striking 3D effect on the rear lighting. Despite the slightly more raked rear end, the E-3008 maintains the same generous 520-litre boot capacity as its predecessor.

Under its sleek exterior, the E-3008 adopts Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform, which supports a range of powertrains, including combustion, plug-in hybrid, and electric. Peugeot offers two trims for the E-3008: Allure and GT. The models come in various front-wheel-drive configurations, with power outputs ranging from 157kW to an impressive 240kW in the dual-motor all-wheel-drive flagship.

The E-3008’s electric variant features a 400V lithium-ion battery that can be charged at up to 11kW on AC power, or even faster with the optional three-phase charger. In only 30 minutes with a 160kW charger, the E-3008 can go from 20 to 80 percent battery capacity. Peugeot claims a WLTP range of 525km for both single- and dual-motor versions, and an astonishing 700km with the long-range battery.

Peugeot ensures that the E-3008 is not only visually stunning but also offers a high-tech and comfortable interior. The GT trim introduces the Panoramic i-Cockpit, featuring a large curved display area housing an instrumentation display and infotainment touchscreen. The driver-centric design incorporates sleek piano black control pods, customizable on-screen buttons, and ambient lighting with multiple color options.

In terms of powertrain options, Peugeot caters to different preferences and needs. Alongside the all-electric version, the brand provides mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid choices. Furthermore, Peugeot has developed a sustainable mindset for the E-3008, utilizing over 500kg of eco-friendly materials throughout the vehicle’s construction.

Peugeot has ambitious plans for its electric transition, aiming to offer electric versions of all its models by 2025 and achieve purely electric sales in Europe by 2030. The E-3008 is a significant step towards this vision. With its sleek design, advanced technology, and eco-conscious construction, the E-3008 is set to make a lasting impression in the medium SUV segment.
